For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son,
That whosoever believeth in Him
Should not perish, should not perish;
That whosoever believeth in Him
Should not perish, but have everlasting life.
2
Oh, love that only God can feel,
And only He can show!
Its height and depth,
Its length and breadth
Nor Heav’n nor earth can know!
3
Why perish, then, ye ransomed ones?
Why slight the gracious call?
Why turn from Him Whose words proclaim
Eternal life to all?
4
O Savior, melt these hearts of ours,
And teach us to believe
That whosoever comes to Thee
Shall endless life receive.
